THE WHAT? L’Oreal will help plant some 65,000 trees to help restore biodiversity to degraded croplands stretching 4,000 hectares in Kardutjaanup, Western Australia. The French beauty giant is donating AU$600,000 to the cause.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by FS Sustainability, the project is being run by the Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (ETNTAC) and is designed to enhance connection to country and strengthen cultural heritage as well as support economic self-determination.

Marnie Carroll, Chief Corporate Affairs and Engagement Officer at L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand told FS Sustainability, “We are proud to be standing alongside an organisation centred around strong cultural identity and wellbeing for First Nations People, as well as the repair and safeguarding of biodiversity.”
