THE WHAT? THG is said to be poised to make some 160 redundancies across its operations. The headcount cut will be split between marketing and sales roles, and warehouse functions.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by Proactive Investors, some 60 marketing and sales staff are at risk from THG’s Ingenuity division and approximately 100 Warehouse workers will be laid off.
THE WHY? The move follows automation upgrades in the group’s factories and a THG spokesperson told Proactive Investors that the lay offs are ‘in line with its strategic pivot towards larger enterprise clients’.
